Sim Resource Renewal (SRR), a Division of global circular economy leaders Sims Limited, have developed a new solution for the renewed use of Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR), the waste product following the recycling of vehicles and end-of-life consumer goods. Using advanced plasma gasification and processing technology, ASR is repurposed into other materials, improving circular economy and reducing waste, water and landfill impacts.

With their ASR Demonstration Plant in Rocklea, Qld, SRR has engaged MJK Industries since Q3, 2023 to deliver targeted process improvements, maintenance and daily support in the operational testing and demonstration of their innovative technology.

MJK Industries’ original scope of works focused on providing SRR’s new ASR Demonstration Plant with fabrication & installation process improvement support during the Plant’s commissioning phase in Q3, 2023. Due to operational needs and recognising the teams’ capabilities, this scope expanded during operational phase to include on-going process improvement services and a daily on-site operational/maintenance resource. MJK Industries has been proud to support SRR’s journey in proving their ASR Demonstration Plant and the future gains for the environment this Plant represents.

Since 2023, MJK Industries has been a valuable supporter of our Client, SRR, in their pursuit to industrially process ASR, a recycling waste product, to further enhance the circular economy, reducing waste, water and environmental impacts. Through the provision of our services in process improvement fabrication and installation, schedule maintenance, and on-site operations/maintenance resources, MJK Industries continues to play an on-going vital role in supporting SRR’s ASR Demonstration Plant in proving their process technology and operational testing. We are proud to be supporting our Client with this work and the long-term environmental stewardship gains the ASR Demonstration Plant represents.
